KJ James – (Stage Manager, Female Patron, Ashley) KJ is incredibly excited and honored to be a part of the first fully produced production of Children of the Night with Prost Stage Productions. She is a Theatre Artist and Educator with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University, and has been a part of the stage life since she was 9 years old (almost 30 years; yikes!)
Most recently KJ was seen at Richardson Theatre Center playing Inspector Colquhoun in Agatha Christie’s The Hollow. Other recent credits include Friar Francis/Sexton in Much Ado About Nothing (OhLook Performing Arts Center), Aase in Peer Gynt (Plague Mask Players) and Lucinda/Giant/Granny in Into the Woods (Ohlook PAC). Favorite roles include Agatha Trunchbull in Matilda the Musical and Hillary Clinton in Citizen Drumpf with Ohlook PAC.
She would love to thank her friends and family for their constant support, George, Joel, and Lindsey for this opportunity, and the phenomenal cast and crew! Enjoy the show!
In November at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas, you will be able to catch KJ onstage performing with Flexible Grey Theatre Company in Bridges: Texas and T a play taken from the real life interviews of trans and non-binary Texans, telling their stories during a tumultuous time.
Pride Owl Designs
KJ also runs Pride Owl Designs; an inclusive brand of designs that focus on LGBTQ+ Pride and Social Justice Issues. All designs can be purchased on a variety of merchandise like t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, mugs, stickers, and wall art!
Ashley – Grimlocke’s Servant at Scuppernong Manor
KJ is more than an essential crew member in keeping the show running on time and the cast on their cues. She’s working both sides of the curtain in Children of the Night; her character (Ashley) helps illustrate a central plot point. Evil often comes wearing a smile and bearing gifts…
Ashley: Young woman dressed as a house servant. She knows her table settings and her vintage wines, but doesn’t always have the best of luck in the kitchen.
