Joel Frapart is a 15 year veteran of the DFW theater scene. So help him. And it.

Headshot for Joel Frapart. Yes, he does look that deceptively youthful & naive in person. It’s dangerous.

Here are some of his favorite roles:

• 2008: Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange – Sundown Collaborative Theater
— Where I learned the best way to get a good role is to be friends with a producer.

• 2012: Fu Manchu – Pocket Sandwich Theater
— Where I met George Morris and Lindsey Humphries
— And yes, Fu Manchu was played by a white guy. It was uncomfortable.

• 2014, 2016, and 2018: Santa Claus Vs. The Martains – Rover Dramawerks, and Camp Death Productions
— Where I got to play a hammy villian with a giant fake mustache. Maybe next time I can use a real mustache.

• 2015: Theatre of Death – MBS Productions
— My first experience with tying someone up and torturing them.

• 2016: Twelfth Night – Bare Bones Shakespeare

• 2017: The Hollow – Theatre Britain

• 2018: Marat Sade – Lip Service Productions

• 2018: Moon Over Buffalo – Theatre Frisco

• 2019: Children of the Night – Calavera Theatre
◦ Where I did my director cameo

• 2019: Triassic Trek – Rooftop Productions

• 2021: The Imaginary Invalid – The Classics Theatre Project

• 2021: As You Like It – Plague Mask Players

And Joel has also done some directing.

It’s okay to be green with envy of Joel’s range.

Directed by Joel Frapart:

• 2008: Rumplestiltskin – Sundown Collaborative Theatre
— Yes I directed my own show. Hadn’t learned my lesson yet.

• 2009: Closer – Shank Productions
— Again, best way to get a job is to be friends with a producer.

• 2017: Richard III – Bare Bones Shakespeare
#MakeEnglandGeatAgain

• 2017: Portrait of a Man (with Mark Brian Sonna) – MBS Productions

• 2018: Children of the Night as part of 7 Plays in 7 Days – MBS Productions
— Still learning.

• 2019: Children of the Night – Calavera Theatre
— … and this is where I learned not to do this.

Other experiences:
• 2018 – Present: Insurance adjuster for State Farm
— You know that guy you screamed at over the phone after you got in that car wreck. That might’ve been me!

• 2019 – Present: Member of the nonprofit organization the Vampire Court of Dallas
— A wonderful Charity organization that does great things for the community
— My friends ask me if it’s a sex cult. It is not a sex cult. I swear.

The many (emo) faces of Joel Frapart
